According to Tom's Hardware, rumors have circulated that SpaceX is developing a handheld device running a proprietary operating system and packing advanced AI capabilities from xAI, Musk's artificial intelligence startup. The chatter described a product said to be thinner than an iPhone.
Musk, however, categorically denies the product exists. Tom's Hardware reports that he called the rumors "utterly false."
The denial is notable because a SpaceX-built, xAI-powered handheld would be an unusual move.
