A Chinese company says it has built a way to control robots using nothing but your thoughts.
According to the South China Morning Post (reported by Minxiao Chang), Hangzhou-based firm BrainCo has unveiled what it describes as the world's first integrated "brain-to-robot" platform. The system lets users direct robots through an EEG headset — a wearable device that reads the brain's electrical activity from the surface of the scalp.
BrainCo frames the launch as a significant step forward, saying users can operate robots via the headset without physical controls. Tech in Asia similarly reported that the company has launched a brain-to-robot AI platform.
The "world's first" label comes from BrainCo itself, and the available reporting does not include independent verification of that claim, technical performance details, pricing, or a release timeline.
