Nvidia's Blackwell chips topped every test in the latest round of MLPerf, the closely watched industry benchmark for AI hardware — and they did it without any direct competition.

According to Wccftech, Blackwell swept every MLPerf 6.0 benchmark "with no competition in sight." HPCwire reports that Blackwell delivered the fastest results across all of the MLPerf Training 6.0 tests.

The results also show Nvidia widening the gap against its own previous generation. Wccftech reports that the newer GB300 systems ran up to 60% faster than the earlier GB200 systems — a sign that Nvidia is still posting large gains release over release, not just incremental ones.

MLPerf is run as a standardized set of tests so that different companies' chips can be measured against one another on the same workloads, such as training AI models. That makes the absence of competing submissions notable: rather than a close race, this round amounted to Nvidia measuring its hardware mainly against itself.

Why it matters: AI development depends heavily on the speed and availability of training hardware, and a benchmark sweep with no challengers underscores how much of that critical infrastructure currently runs through a single company.
