The Big Picture
We're tracking 4,289 open AI/ML roles today. The market is active but concentrated: three regions account for nearly all of it, and a handful of employers are doing the heavy lifting.
Where the Jobs Are
Europe leads decisively with 2,094 roles (49%), followed by the US at 1,305 (30%) and India at 841 (20%). Everything else is a rounding error — the rest of the world shows just 38 listings and the UAE 11. If you're job-hunting, geography matters more than usual right now: half of all opportunities sit in Europe, where postings skew toward generative-AI engineering, MLOps, and full-stack roles, often in German, Dutch, or French (e.g. Bosch's ML/reinforcement-learning theses, Collective.work's freelance GenAI contracts).
Who's Hiring
Bespoke Labs (184) and Capital One (168) dominate the leaderboard, with Capital One especially aggressive on senior and distinguished ML engineering titles. Behind them: Reply Deutschland (58), General Motors (56), EnthuZiastic (52), and Jobgether (50). Consultancies are well represented — Booz Allen Hamilton (43), Deloitte (37), BC Forward (36), TCS (32) — alongside SonderMind (38) and Google (31).
The Roles Themselves
Two clusters stand out. First, core ML engineering: Machine Learning Engineer through Staff and Distinguished levels, plus Data Scientist and Data Science leadership roles — this is where the senior US money is (Capital One, Credit Acceptance, Instacart, Excella). Second, generative-AI and agentic work: GenAI Analysts, LLM/agent application engineers, and "AI-powered" full-stack builds show up heavily across Europe and India.
India leans junior and applied — GenAI analysts, AI project managers, automation developers, and even AI-tooling internships. A few outliers (a Project Assistant, a listed Plumber role) are reminders to filter carefully.
Takeaway
If you want seniority and compensation, target US financial-services and delivery firms. If you want volume and generative-AI breadth, look to Europe. India rewards applied and entry-level GenAI skills. Fluency in a second European language widens the Europe pool considerably.
