Who's Hiring

One employer dominates: Bespoke Labs posted 147 roles, more than the next ten companies combined, including hands-on listings like Machine Learning Engineer. After that the demand is spread across sectors:

  • Finance: Capital One (49), PNC
  • Consulting & IT services: Tata Consultancy Services (26), Reply Deutschland SE (18), Booz Allen Hamilton (17)
  • Education: IU Internationale Hochschule (35, plus 17 under its GmbH entity)
  • Health & defense: SonderMind (21), Lockheed Martin (15)
  • Consumer & platforms: Lieferando (20), Mindrift (17), Jobgether (15)

The presence of banks, defense contractors, and universities signals that AI hiring has moved well beyond pure tech firms.

The Roles in Demand

Three role families show up again and again:

  1. Generative AI / LLM engineering — the single hottest theme. Listings include Generative AI Engineer (Knowledge Graph), GenAI/LLM Architect, Senior Generative AI Developer, and GenAI SW Tooling Engineer.
  2. Machine Learning Engineers — broadly across Europe and the US, from ML Quant roles at startups to senior remote positions.
  3. Data Scientists & Analysts — frequently tagged with Agentic AI, Generative AI, or concrete stacks like SQL, Python, and data-quality tooling.

Notable adjacents: agentic AI is appearing in titles (Data Scientist – Agentic AI), and AI is bleeding into non-ML jobs too — full-stack developers, graphic designers, and even SEO roles now list AI as a core skill.

What It Means

The market rewards GenAI and LLM fluency above all, but practical data engineering and Python remain table stakes. Many European listings are language-specific (Dutch, German, French), so local-language ability widens your options there.
