Regional Breakdown

Europe (680 roles) is the clear hiring center of gravity. Amazon is active here with multiple GTM and Solutions Architect posts, Lieferando is pushing hard on ML Engineering, and Mindrift is steadily adding freelance ML engineers. IU Internationale Hochschule (combining its two entities, 52 listings) is the single largest source of European postings — mostly academic and training-adjacent AI roles.

United States (278 roles) skews heavily toward defense and finance. Booz Allen Hamilton and Lockheed Martin are consistent fixtures, with clearance-required roles like "Senior Generative AI Engineer with Security Clearance" at MITRE appearing regularly. Capital One tops the US hiring count at 37 openings — a sign that financial services AI buildout is still running hot. Kadence and Harrison Clarke are also placing double-digit counts.

India (234 roles) is dominated by TCS with 24 postings spanning ML Engineers and Data Scientists across Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Gurgaon. Yotta Data Services and Cyfuture round out the local landscape, with a VP of AI role at Cyfuture signaling leadership-level demand.

Common Role Types

Across all regions, the most requested profiles are:

  • Machine Learning Engineer — by far the highest volume title
  • Data Scientist (with NLP and GenAI specializations increasingly specified)
  • Generative AI / GenAI Engineer
  • AI Solutions Architect (enterprise and cloud-focused)
  • AI Intern / Trainee — entry-level pipeline is active, especially in Europe

Generative AI experience is no longer a differentiator on job titles alone — it's now a baseline expectation embedded in standard ML and Data Science postings.

Notable Trends

Defense contractors in the US are requiring security clearances for senior GenAI roles, narrowing the applicant pool significantly. Meanwhile, freelance and contract demand is visible through Mindrift's repeated ML engineer postings — a sign companies are still testing headcount before committing to full-time hires.
